On my first international trip in 2019, I was captured by travel and tourism. It left such a deep impression that I knew I had to immerse myself in the industry. Travelling opens our minds in ways nothing else can, introducing us to people and places we might never encounter otherwise. It allows us to feel unique, creating a sense of connection and curiosity when we share our stories with the world.

I experienced this on that first journey abroad, just as it also deepened my appreciation for my own country and culture. I realised just how beautiful South Africa is and what a privilege it is to call it home.
