One Day

Transfer from Maun International Airport to lodge on the banks of the Thamalakane River. Late afternoon sunset cruise looking for the abundant bird life and the occasional hippo and crocodile. Overnight at lodge. [D]

Day Two

View the Okavango Delta from an eagle’s perspective by going on a breathtaking one hour private charter flight, (optional, for own account). Alternatively explore Maun with an early morning walk. After breakfast at the lodge, depart Maun and travel northwesterly along the panhandle of the Okavango Delta, an area famous for prolific wildlife, birds and fish. Spend the next 2 nights at a lodge alongside the Okavango River. [BD]

Day Three

Optional (for own account) mokoro day trip. (NB you will not be back in time for the sundowner cruise today.) The rest of the group will enjoy a day at leisure. Late afternoon sundowner cruise on the Okavango River. Overnight at lodge. [BD]

Day Four

Cross the border post between Botswana and Namibia and enter the Mahango National Park to enjoy a game drive. Rare species found here include bushbuck, reedbuck, lechwe, tsessebe, oribi and sitatunga. Continue to Popa Falls, where we take a short walk and then enter the Caprivi Strip. Overnight on the banks of the Kwando River. [BD]

Day Five

Enjoy an early morning game drive. Tour a traditional village, learn about local fishing and hunting techniques and the local Medicine Man will also show you dances to cure illnesses. Optional early morning or sunset boat trip on the Kwando River (for own account). Overnight on the banks of the Kwando River. [BD]

Day Six & Seven

Enter Botswana via the Ngoma border post. Enjoy a game drive in the Chobe National Park and sunset cruise on the Chobe River. Encounter the largest concentration of elephants in Africa, in Chobe National Park. Spend the next 2 nights at the lodge. [BD]

Day Eight & Nine

Travel to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Guided tour of the Victoria Falls and rainforest. Activities available (optional and for own account) include Flight of the Angels, elephant back safari, lion walk or a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River. Spend 2 nights at a lodge in the Victoria Falls. [BD]

Transfer from the lodge to Victoria Falls or Livingstone Airports for your outbound flight. [B]

This spacious lodge enjoys a scenic river setting on the banks of the Thamalakane River and is conveniently close to Maun International airport and the village centre.

Maun Lodge

Renowned for genuine hospitality and excellent service, Maun Lodge is an ideal base from which to explore the Okavango Delta – one of the most striking and unique ecosystems in Africa. This spacious lodge enjoys a scenic river setting on the banks of the Thamalakane River and is conveniently close to Maun International airport and the village centre.

There are a range of accommodation options available from budget chalets to luxury hotel rooms (double, twin or family) with air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, satellite television and other modern amenities. There are also ten deluxe riverfront rooms and two presidential suites, all with private patios and mesmerising views.

Maun Lodge offers guests plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding wilderness including a day trip to Moremi, a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta and visits to local cultural attractions. After a memorable game viewing or sightseeing adventure, guests can head back to the lodge for a sundowner at the Pygmy Goose Bar before sampling the delicious cuisine at the A la Carte restaurant. For al fresco dining, there is the Boma, which offers a wide range of dishes including the famous barbeque and buffet.

Located near Shakawe in the western Okavango Delta, the deluxe chalets at Lawdons integrate seamlessly with the spectacular surroundings. Set amongst indigenous thorn trees, the spacious cabins have en suite bathrooms and luxury amenities. This area is famous for its prolific wildlife and Lawdons is the ideal spot from which to explore. Relax at the pool or delicious bush cuisine at the lodge’s restaurant.

On the banks the lush Kwando River in eastern Caprivi, Namibia; Camp Kwando allows guests to fully enjoy this spectacular region. Stylishly furnished luxury chalets are scattered amongst trees and offer fantastic views of the Botswana plains. An airy dining room can open its riverside flank and you can watch hippos and crocodiles while you dine. Enjoy sensational river cruises, game drives and learn about the rich history and culture of the Mafwe people.

Chobe Safari Lodge, Kasane

Chobe Safari Lodge is ideally situated on the banks of the Chobe River in Kasane with fantastic, easy access to game drives and river cruises in the Chobe National Park. With its African-inspired design and décor, this tranquil retreat offers a magical lodge experience to match the spectacular game-viewing. The concept restaurant features the indigenous and rich flavours of Africa, with generous and scrumptious buffet lunches and dinners on offer. Watch the African sun go down from the famous Sedudu Bar or the Cocktail Bar overlooking the Caprivi floodplains.


Day Eight & Nine

A’Zambezi River Lodge

As the only hotel on the Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls with river frontage, A’Zambezi River Lodge offers unique views of the mighty Zambezi River with it hippo and crocodiles, before its waters tumble over into deep chasm of First Gorge. This is the perfect retreat to relax and unwind in the quiet ambiance of African wildlife and nature, while enjoying quality services. Enjoy fine dining at Amulonga Restaurant and Sebastian’s Restaurant, cocktails and sundowners at the Amulonga Bar and the Zambezi Cocktail Bar, and relax at the poolside or in the tranquil Reading Room.
