Day One - Depart Cape Town
Travel through Montagu, a historic spa town, and the ‘Little Karoo’. Enjoy a wine tasting, along Route 62, known as “The World’s Longest Wine Route”.

In the town of Barrydale, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a local farm school, interact with the children and teachers, spending time with them in the classroom learning more about the local farming community, before continuing to Oudtshoorn, the “ostrich feather capital” and centre of the world’s Ostrich farming industry. (The school visit is subject to school being opened) Overnight in Oudtshoorn.
Day Two
This morning you’ll visit an Ostrich Farm for a guided tour, before visiting the spectacular limestone caverns of the Cango Caves, one of the world’s great natural wonders, sculpted by nature through the ages. In the afternoon you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch (optional & for own account), the oldest and biggest cheetah contact centre worldwide, offering visitors interaction with hand reared cheetahs. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.
Day Three
After breakfast continue over the Outeniqua Pass to George, the sixth oldest town in South Africa, with many historical landmarks like the Slave Tree and King Edward VII Library building, said to be the best example of Edwardian architecture in the town. The tour travels via Victoria Bay, a beautiful cove enclosed by cliffs, to Wilderness, an attractive holiday resort with beautiful beaches. In the afternoon you’ll reach Knysna, known as the oyster box of South Africa, nestling on the banks of a beautiful lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route. Overnight in Knysna.
Day Four
After a leisurely breakfast you’ll enjoy a lagoon cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, where you can take a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head to enjoy panoramic views of the town and lagoon, returning for lunch under the milkwood trees. The afternoon is at leisure to further explore this charming town set around a natural harbour lagoon. Overnight in Knysna.
Day Five
Travel to Plettenberg Bay, the jewel of the Garden Route, before continuing to Bloukrans Bridge, the highest single span arch bridge in the world, currently offering the highest commercially operated Bungy Jump in the world. Visit the Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth (weather permitting). The Tsitsikamma National Park incorporates 80 km of rocky coastline with spectacular sea and landscapes, a remote mountainous region with secluded valleys covered in mountain Fynbos and temperate high forests with deep river gorges leading down to the sea. Overnight in the Tsitsikamma area.
Day Six
Head eastwards along the Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth, known as the “friendly city”, with a wonderful climate and its well known oceanarium and snake house (for own account). Enjoy a city orientation tour of Port Elizabeth, where the tour ends on arrival. [B] Passengers may disembark, on request, at Port Elizabeth Airport.
