Day One - Departing Johannesburg

You leave your Johannesburg hotel at 08h00 on a comfortable 5-hour journey to the Mpumalanga province passing through Machadodorp.

Day One

Transfer from Johannesburg to Mpumalanga and enter the world famous Kruger National Park. Spend the afternoon game viewing in a closed vehicle. Arrive at the camp for dinner and overnight. [D]

Day Two

Enjoy an early breakfast before you depart on a full day safari in a closed vehicle. Your guide will endeavour to spoil you with sightings of the “Big Five”, general game and prolific bird life. Stop at one of the rest camps for lunch (own account). Vegetation is mainly bushveld, varying from park-like grasslands to dense bush, especially in the rainy season. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight. [BD]

Day Three

Enjoy breakfast after which you’ll start the return journey to Johannesburg via Sabie and the Long Tom Pass. Lunch stop en route (own account). Arrive in Johannesburg in the early evening at approximately 18h30. [B]

With great excitement, you enter the world-famous Kruger National Park for an afternoon of game-viewing.

Day Two - The Big 5

You’re on safari so you need to wake with the dawn and enjoy an early breakfast so that you can travel into the Kruger Park in the cool morning when the wildlife is wonderfully active. Your expert guide will be on the lookout to show you the Big 5

Pretoriuskop Rest Camp

Pretoriuskop Rest Camp

Located in the south western part of the Kruger National Park, Pretoriuskop Rest Camp is the perfect base from which to explore South Africa’s premier wildlife destination. Pretoriuskop is the most well-known and oldest tourist camp in the park and has distinctive appearance thanks to red trees, predating the decision to only use indigenous plant life. Accommodation ranges from fully equipped guesthouses to basic bungalows. Hunt for the Big 5 on day and night game drives and enjoy delicious local fare at the nearby restaurant.

Day Three - Back to the City of Gold

You have your morning at leisure before setting off to the charming town of Graskop for lunch (for guest’s own account). The route back to Johannesburg affords you the opportunity to see more of Mpumalanga’s gorgeous scenery and interesting towns.
